A portable application can be run from a removable drive (USB flash drive, iPod, portable hard drive, etc) on any Windows computer without installation.
You will carry the program with settings on removable drive and don't modify settings on host computer.
On Vista and above turn off User Account Control (UAC) or run launcher as admin.

Hi Bernat, I noticed an error during download of LAMEsetup and FFmpegSetup; thanks, bye.
Links removed, installer updated.
Can't be started...
Windows XP, sp3.
Seem they have a problem with this version. See their site/forum.
Audacity 2.0.6
FFmpegLibPath=...\\AudacityPortable\\App\\FFmpeg\\avformat-55.dll

Hi Bernat, I've noticed a newer version of LAME (known to work with Audacity 2.x)
https://lame.buanzo.org/lame_v3.99.5.zip
I've not fully tested it but Audacity accepts it and, instead, refuses the current version (3.100)

Thanks for info and tests: post updated.
Hi Bernat,
I've been using this program for a while and love it. I've made portable version of qBittorent (https://www.qbittorrent.org) and works great with no problem.
The issue is similar to Mp3LibPath/FFmpegLibPath manipulation.
Changing download path is not possible with FileWrite or WriteINIStr using $EXEDIR\${APPDIR} which has similar results in audacity.cfg.
How do I change the path so it can be recognized as in audacity.cfg paths.
Great job as always.
Thanks
George
Sorry George, I forgot to join source.
I used StrRep to add \\ in paths but there is probably a better solution.
Working great!
As always I appreciate everything.
I keep learning something new every time. Keep up the good work.
THANKS AGAIN.
Hey Bernat, something is wrong with the new version 2.3.1. After installing, the ini file is made but after that, nothing happens.
Tested working.
