A portable application can be run from a removable drive (USB flash drive, iPod, portable hard drive, etc) on any Windows computer without installation.
You will carry the program with settings on removable drive and don't modify settings on host computer.
On Vista and above turn off User Account Control (UAC) or run launcher as admin.

Bernat,
as always thank you so much and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance
:D
I use AIMP 3.10 Portable from your site. When I launch it I see a window: you are not allowed to write to the registry
Today I downloaded 3.50 and now it ask for ADmin password (UAC).
What is changed? Can I start 3.50 like 3.10 ?
Thanks!
No such problem for me.
Disable UAC or run launcher as admin.
Guys: Only use the Bernat's provided links all others are not reliable
Gracias nuevamente.
Thank you very much Bernat ! A great player and a great portable work programme in your performance ! With best regards, Dmitri.
Sorry, the provided link doesn't work for me. It has the following message in the middle of the page :
"Access to this file was disabled for your security as part of our anti-malware policy."
Link updated.
Thanks a lot !
Thank you very much!
Bernat thank you for quick update
PorableApps has same Build 1338 !
It seems your portable versions can no longer access mapped network drives. I need to use a network share instead. Can you fix this? I have the same issue with all your newer releases such as the new KMPlayer, audacity, VLC and so on. Thanks.
Sorry I don't use mapped network drives and can't test.
But I did no change in my launchers since several years.
It should be easy to test. You can set up a network drive that points to your local machine. Go to My Computer (win7), click on "Map network drive", browse for your local machine on the network, select the Users folder or some other shared folder and click ok. That folder should now appear with a drive letter assigned to it in My Computer under Network Locations. If you open that shared drive and try to open an mp3 in AIMP you get an error saying the file can't be found. If you try to open a file from AIMP itself, you'll find that mapped network drive does not show up in AIMP's file explorer.
Check if you have same problem with official portable.
Download and run aimp_3.60.1470.exe, change Destination Path and select Portable version.
Run AIMP3.exe, settings are in Profile.
The official one works.
Sorry, I can't do more.
I replaced the exe of the most recent kmplayer version with the exe of one that didn't have problems (version 2.9.4.1437) and though it doesn't work well, it does at least find the file. Could that help you find the problem? Your versions are great but their utility really falls when they can't see remote drives.
Did you try from another computer?
No problem for me.
Yeah, i've tried from two computers, one running windows 7 and another using windows 10 preview. Did the replacement .exe solve the problem for you or could you never reproduce the error?
I had never the problem.
AIMP3Portable.exe was recompiled removing version information such as the name of this blog that can be checked by anti-virus.
I have the same dialog box (Open) launching AIMP3.exe (official) or AIMP3Portable.exe (my portable).
Did you test it with XP or 7?
Tested both WindowsXP and Windows 7.
Try AIMP from portableapps.com
How to remove UAC prompt dialog every time i launch aimp?
You have to search on the web for your Windows version.
Comment on fait pour virer l'uac sans pour autant la désactiver complètement. Juste pour aimp en fait
Try to right clic on launcher: Run as Admin
Hello Mr,Bernat I found permanent direct official mirror for latest AIMP4
AIMP4 latest which can see listed on their official site aimp.ru .... Can then online multiversion Installer be created for aimp4?
Thanks
Best Regards
Thanks for the link, but I can't extract files from setup (/AUTO and /SILENT switches are working but not /PORTABLE).
how do i stop getting warning messages to run the program every time i open it? even if i run it as an admin?
"CheckRegWrite=false" doesn't work.
Disable UAC
this disables uac for the whole computer or just the app? (whole computer doesn't seem safe.)
For the whole computer: I always do this without problem. Perhaps there is an other solution but I don't know.
